The short version

Math Biomes does not collect personal information from children. We do not sell data. We do not share data with advertisers. We do not show ads. The parent or guardian creates an account and controls everything. If you have any questions, email us at support@mathbiomes.com.

Who we are

Math Biomes is a children's math learning app built by Curious Worlds LLC. We are incorporated in Delaware, USA. You can reach us at support@mathbiomes.com.

What we collect from parents

When a parent or guardian creates an account, we collect an email address and a password. This is used to secure your account and send you progress updates about your child's learning. We do not require your name, phone number, or any payment information until you choose to subscribe.

What we collect from children

We collect game activity data only -- which levels were played, completion percentages, and session duration. This data is tied to a child profile created by the parent. We do not collect a child's name, photo, location, or any personally identifying information. Children do not create accounts and cannot interact with any external services through Math Biomes.

How we use data

Game activity data is used solely to generate progress reports for parents and to power the adaptive difficulty system. We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond improving your child's learning experience within the app.

What we never do

Data storage and security

All data is stored securely using Supabase, a SOC 2 compliant infrastructure provider. Parent account data and child activity data are stored in an encrypted database. We do not store payment information -- all payments are processed by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@mathbiomes.com. We will permanently delete all parent account data and child activity data within 30 days of your request.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

Math Biomes is designed for children ages 4 to 7 and is built in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). All child profiles are created and managed by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us immediately at support@mathbiomes.com and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will notify you by email before the changes take effect. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last updated.
